On this page you will find different teacher resources that can be implemented in your classrooms to provide students with the tools necessary to be successful on the ACT and other assessments. Please understand that this site is a living interface and is continuously being updated with additional resources. ACT Needs Spreadsheet for Skills Assessment
Are you unsure where to start preparing? Below, you will find a link to access a spreadsheet that will assist with indicating which skills students need to improve for each section of the ACT based on their section score.
Directions for operating the spreadsheet:
Click the link below and open the spreadsheet
Make sure the "Student Synopsis" sheet is selected at the bottom of the screen
In the YELLOW boxes, enter the student's ACT section scores; the boxes immediately to the right will automatically populated with the skills the student should be working to improve upon based on their score.
Ideas for Progress
Below, you will find a link that will direct you to ACT's Ideas for Progress. This site provides teachers and students with ideas for improving their skills based on their ACT section score for each test.
Directions for operating the Ideas for Progress:
Click the link below and open the website
Find the section of the ACT that you are looking for
Find the student's score range and click the arrow
Once you click the drop down arrow, you will find ideas for remediation for each skill for each section based on the student's section score
